End of Season Roundup

I know that this post comes abit too late and when i intended to do, Man Utd signaled their intention of defending the Premiership title with 3 signings, Owen Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson. No one in the world will expect that fast except Fergie and the directors. What next? A striker?

Rumors have been coming thick and fast with the strikers all over the world linked to Man Utd. Here is a list:
- Javier Saviola (Barcelona, contract end this season)
- Nicolas Anelka (Bolton)
- Klaas Jan Huntelaar (Ajax)
- Afonso Alves (Heerenveen)
- Fernando Torres (Atletico Madrid)

But now no money to spend liao.. How? Sell lah!! Louis Saha, Alan Smith, Gabriel Heinze, Kieran Richardson, Darren Fletcher are all reported to be put on market.

With Giggs and Scholes retiring from international duties, they can focus fully on domestic and European glory once more, i hope. Next season look promising with these 2 stalwarts guide the new young signings and also able to play in more domestic and European matches. I dont want to bet on Giggs for making the most appearances in a club next season.

Next season, look out for Sunderland. Not the one that have the lowest point in the league table 2 seasons ago, neither is the one that have the fewest wins in the top league. In fact, is the other way round.. Since the year start, Sunderland have not lost at home.. The manager is none other than Roy Keane. He is also not afraid of making changes.. He practically changed the line-up for every matches. All his midfielders, young or experienced have scored a goal. Even Dwight Yorke is a midfielder now. He is now interested in Diego Forlorn Forlan, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt. Even Man Utd reserves team, he also interested..

I think Sunderland will do a Reading next season, if not better.. Dark horse indeed!! So dont say i never warn you all..

Next season, there will be some slight changes to the preview.. Jay will explain when the season kicks off.. Till then, good luck for the summer games!!

Summer Games 2007 - Round 2 Voting

Ok, Round 1 of the voting has been completed and it looks like we are going to do the Asian Cup 2007 tournament, if we do it.

However, out of the 16 votes that I've got, 9 agreeing to participate, 3 opting for Copa America instead and 4 not participating in either.

The purpose of Round 2 poll is to ask if we can get enough people to participate? My quorum is 10. Otherwise, it seemed rather meaningly to cater to such a small number.

So without further ado, let vote Round 2 and leave your name in the comments. Closing date is 17 Jun 2007.

Tournament starts on 07 Jul 2007 and we will have the honour of having ihawk98 providing the relevant match information. Format shall be the same for World Cup 2006 where we will tackle every match.
