86th's The Charm After All

I think a part of me just died after watching the goddamned match.

Now, if you'll excuse me for wasting your reading time and this blog's space, I shall go curl up in some dark isolated corner and cry for a few hours first before coming back to write a proper match review.

Sigh... just when I was talking about that fatal bullet in the Russian Roulette, it got itself loaded into the chamber.

BAM!

Call me superstitious but I never liked ManUtd in blue. Whatever happened to the classic white top and black shorts away kit?

Now all the eggs are really in one ultra small basket.

If you had told me at the beginning of the season Man Utd would at most win the Mickey Mouse Cup this season, I would show you the finger.

Now, I will grab it with both hands.

I oso say man.... you'll even find my legs wrapped around it on top of just the both hands!

Well, the good news is that with the bullet spent, Wigan is not going to stand a chance against us. Beg, borrow, steal, we are going to take the Cup home.

Reading about Alan Smith's horrific injury suddenly makes the loss unimportant.

Actually, I feel the same way for any player that comes down with such a serious injury, not just Man Utd ones.

I hope he recovers quickly.

Sigh... as if we don't have a lack of midfielders already.

Haiz....

Call me sentimental, but I actually cried as Smith was being stretchered off. I think anytime you see anyone in such immense pain it fills you with horror. Add to that the fact that we were losing with 7 injury-time minutes to go, our lack of midfielders, and our overall failed season I couldn't help but cry a bit.

Never mind, let's all get behind them for the Carling Cup final!

An after afterthought.

Pity for Man Utd that Liverpool lost the plot only in the third match of their three consecutive must-win matches.

I knew Liverpool didn't have the resources to win all the 3 matches i.e. Arsenal, ManUtd and Benfica.

I knew one of them would have to be the sacrificial lamb.

Based on dollar and cents, the FA Cup would be the most logical one to throw i.e. rest key players ahead of this ECL match.

Instead, Benitez runs the risk of losing out of the ECL tournament as a result.

Mistake of an amateur level if you ask me.

I am not saying this because I am sore that ManUtd lost. Had it been other team in the FA Cup, I still think Liverpool should throw it.
