Beer Fund Raising : 08 - 13 Mar 2008

It was a mid-week of good and bad news. The good news is the all Top 3 English clubs qualified to the Quarter-Finals of the ECL sans Liverpool who would be playing this mid-week. Good luck Liverpool but I can't see how Liverpool would lose it have a 2-0 advantage in the first-leg.

The bad news is the all English clubs in the UEFA Cup tournament are virtually eliminated.

It was a really pity for Sunderland who had the chance to grab 3 points only settle for a draw against cellar-dweller Derby County.

Earlier I said that if a club can more or less maintain a 1 point per game ratio, then chances of relegation survival is very high.

At the present moment, the Black Cats are 27 points in 28 games which find them sitting comfortably in 15th place.

I foresee another draw today and that should bring them to 28 points in 29 games and to remain in 15th spot.
