SPUG EPL Prediction League - Match Weekend 13 May 2007

Lucky thing I managed to make a last minute switch to a Wigan victory just 2 minutes before kick-off or I would have to have a tie-breaker with ianrush, from which the title could go either way.

5 points for me from the Wigan game and 1 point from ManUtd-WestHam was enough to let me win the league outright regardless of anybody's result.

It was most unfortunate for Cha Dum Yen to drop points at the very last game to relinquish the runner-up spot.

Anyway, thanks to all for playing and I hope to see everybody next season. Tell your friends about it.

Also, email me if you like to be on the reminder email list when the new season starts.

See you in August 2007!

Warm congrats to vox and ianrush for the 1st and 2nd place finishes!

I'm very pleased with 3rd place given that this is my first season. It's been great fun and I hope to see the same names and more next season. "I'll Be Back!" ;-)

P.S: Thanks to Vox for the tireless efforts in scoring and updating! I promise to help make next season easier.

P.P.S: Also thanks to ihawk98 for introducing me to this glorious time-sink. Hahaha!

Well, we'll have a double bill feature next season where Euro 2008 will follow right after the regular season.

In the meantime, we are releasing you back to your wife. =P

ianrush: So far nobody has been able to defend the title and so I think we probably would have a new person taking the crown.

Good luck!

ihawk98: You are a bit like Spurs this year. Although no self destruction as per previous years, but nevertheless the inability to keep a clean sheet.

Everton: Don't feel too bad. Everton also not in the Top 5. Better luck next year.

TheSaint888: Yah. Can qualify Champions League. :)

Merenwen: I would like to see you try. Rookie!

Absolutely agree! It's a clean slate and everyone has equal chance. Unless someone pulls a "Chelsea" - like buying a supercomputer and hiring 11 PhD's to develop a super-duper prediction algorithm... hahaha!

Heh, Vox thank you for the nice time I had here. very very happy that I am in 8th position. Definitely an improvement over last season.

Next season look out for Aston Villa, and limyengchuan to move up the league ladder...unless horrors! Fergie resigns and Martin O Neil comes to replace him at old trafford.

Thanks to everyone that took part, enjoy your remarks and virtual company!!!!!

Man U rocks! Alan Smith rocks!
